Appropriate Preposition:

  • Assign to ( নির্দিষ্ট করে দেওয়া ) He assigned the task to me.
  • Vexed for ( বিরক্ত (জিনিস) ) He is vexed with me for opposing him.
  • Part with ( বিচ্ছিন্ন হওয়া (কোন জিনিস) ) She parted with the ring.
  • Pity for ( করুণা ) Have pity for the poor.
  • Relevant to ( প্রাসঙ্গিক ) Your remark is not relevant to the point.
  • Senior to ( বয়সে বড়, উচ্চপদস্থ ) He is senior to me by four years.

Idioms:

  • In a hurry ( তাড়াহুড়ার মধ্যে ) Don't do the work in a hurry.
  • In vain ( বৃথা ) All his attempts were in vain.
  • Three R's ( প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা ) The majority of our people have not yet learnt the three R's.
