Appropriate Preposition:

Idioms:

  • As if ( যেন ) He swims so beautifully as if he is the Olympic gold medalist.
  • Beat black and blue ( প্রচন্ড প্রহার করা ; উত্তম-মধ্যম দেওয়া ) They beat the thief black and blue.
  • Come to light ( প্রকাশিত হওয়া ) Their private talk has come to light at last.
  • a bad apple ( কোনো একটা দলের সব ভালোর মধ্যে খারাপ বা মন্দটা ) In any group of average citizens there are bound to be a few bad apples.
  • All but ( প্রায় ) The poor villagers are all but ruined.
