Appropriate Preposition:

Idioms:

  • Cats and dogs ( মূষল ধারে ) It was raining cats and dogs.
  • A bolt from the blue ( সম্পূর্ন অপ্রত্যাশিত ) The news of his father's death came to him as a bolt from the blue.
  • Achilles heel ( দুর্বলতা বা ত্রুটি ) He is trying to hide but everybody knows his achilles' heel
  • In vogue ( চালু ) This custom is not in vogue now.
  • At all events ( যাই ঘটুক সব ক্ষেত্রেই ) I shall stand by him at all events.
  • Maiden speech ( প্রথম বক্তৃতা ) His maiden speech fell flat on the audience.
