Appropriate Preposition:

  • Greed for ( লোভ ) He has no greed for wealth.
  • Kind to ( সদয় ) She is very kind to the children.
  • Prevent from ( বারণ করা ; প্রতিরোধ করা ) I prevented him from going there.‌
  • Angry with ( রাগান্বিত (ব্যক্তি) ) He is angry with me for speaking against him.
  • Rest with ( নির্ভর করা ; বিশ্বাসস্থাপন করা ) The whole matter rests with you.
  • Look over ( পরীক্ষা করা ) He is looking over the answer papers.

Idioms:

  • Burning question ( তীব্র বিতর্কের বিষয় ) The problem of the dowry system is the burning question of the day.
