Appropriate Preposition:

  • Take after ( সদৃশ হওয়া ) The boy takes after his father.
  • Fond of ( অনুরাগী ) Children are fond of sweets.
  • Informed of ( অবহিত ) I was not informed of your misfortune.
  • Overcome by ( দমন করা ) He was overcome by anger.
  • Supply to ( যোগান দেওয়া (ব্যক্তি) ) He supplied food to us.
  • Jump to ( তাড়াহুড়ো করে সিদ্ধান্তে আসা ) Do not jump to a conclusion without much thinking.

Idioms:

  • Three R's ( প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা ) The majority of our people have not yet learnt the three R's.
  • Set free ( মুক্ত করা ) The prisoners were set free.
  • Out of the wood ( বিপদমুক্ত ) He is not yet out of the wood.
