Appropriate Preposition:

  • Unite with ( ঐক্যবদ্ধ হওয়া ) Be united with your friends.
  • Endowed with ( ভূষিত ) He is endowed with talents.
  • Deprived of ( বঞ্চিত ) He was deprived of his property.
  • Disgusted with ( বিরক্ত ) I am disgusted with him at his conduct.
  • Favourable to ( অনুকূল (ব্যক্তি) ) This situation is favourable to me for doing this.
  • Talk to ( কথা বলা (ব্যক্তি) ) I am talking to (with) Mr. Roy.

Idioms:

  • a bad apple ( কোনো একটা দলের সব ভালোর মধ্যে খারাপ বা মন্দটা ) In any group of average citizens there are bound to be a few bad apples.
  • At bay ( কোনঠাসা ) The tiger was at bay in the bush.
  • Sink in ( আবদ্ধ হওয়া, ডুবে যাওয়া ) He sank in mud or the ship sank into the sea.
