Appropriate Preposition:

  • Differ from ( ভিন্নরূপ হওয়া ) This thing differs from that.
  • Indulge in ( আসক্ত হওয়া ) He indulge in drugs.
  • Subject to ( শর্তাধীন ) This is subject to approval of the committee.
  • Render into ( অনুবাদ করা ) Render the passage into Hindi.
  • Escape by ( রক্ষা করা ) He escaped by a hair breadth.
  • Restrict to ( সীমাবব্ধ করা ) Admission was restricted to students.

Idioms:

  • As if ( যেন ) He swims so beautifully as if he is the Olympic gold medalist.
  • At one’s wit’s end ( হতবুদ্ধি ) He was at his wit’s end and did not know what to do.
  • Call in question ( সন্দেহ করা ) No one can call his honesty in question.
  • ABC ( প্রাথমিক জ্ঞান ) Everybody must know at least the ABC of religion.
  • a rotten apple ( কোনো একটা দলের সব ভালোর মধ্যে খারাপ বা মন্দটা ) In any group of average citizens there are bound to be a few rotten apples.
