Appropriate Preposition:

  • Deaf to ( শুনতে অনিচ্ছুক ) He is deaf to my request.
  • Burst out ( ফেটে পড়া ) He burst out laughing at my joke.

  • Respect of ( সম্বন্ধে ) He is junior to me in respect of service.
  • Eligible for ( যোগ্য ) He is eligible for the post.
  • Engaged to ( বাগদত্ত ) Lila was engaged to him.

Idioms:

  • As it were ( যেন ) The sun is, as it were , the lamp of the universe.
  • walk in someone shoes ( কারো অভিজ্ঞতা বা অবস্থানে থাকা বোঝায় ) When you walk in my shoes, you might understand.
  • Out of date ( অপ্রচলিত ) This fashion is now out of date.
  • Lion's share ( সিংহভাগ ) He took the lion's share of the profit.
