Appropriate Preposition:

  • Compare to ( তুলনা করা (অসদৃশ বস্তু) ) Anger is compared to fire.
  • Replace with another ( পরিবর্তন করা (একটি জিনিস) ) Replace this chair with new one.
  • Jump to ( তাড়াহুড়ো করে সিদ্ধান্তে আসা ) Do not jump to a conclusion without much thinking.
  • Make out ( বুঝতে পারা ) I cannot make out what you say.
  • Resign to ( আত্মসমর্পন করা (স্বয়ং) ) I resigned myself to fate
  • Burst into ( ভেঙ্গে পড়া ) He burst into tears at the sad news

Idioms:

  • As it were ( যেন ) The sun is, as it were , the lamp of the universe.
  • Set free ( মুক্ত করা ) The prisoners were set free.
  • Sink in ( আবদ্ধ হওয়া, ডুবে যাওয়া ) He sank in mud or the ship sank into the sea.
