Appropriate Preposition:

  • Loyal to ( বিশ্বস্ত ) He is loyal to his master.
  • Officiate in ( পরিবর্তে কাজ করা (পদ) ) He officiated for me in that post.
  • Proud of ( গর্বিত ) He is proud of his position.
  • Prior to ( পূর্বে ) Prior to that, he was in a wretched condition.
  • Pride on ( গর্ব করা ) He prides himself on his high birth.

Idioms:

  • Dead against ( তীব্র বিরোধী ) I am dead against his proposal.
  • Man of straw ( অপদার্থ লোক ) We do not care a fig for a man of straw like him.
  • put a spoke to ones wheel ( কারও উন্নতিতে বাধা হওয়া )
  • In a fix ( মুশকিলে পতিত ) He is in a fix and does not know what to do.
