Appropriate Preposition:

  • Slow of ( ধীর ) He is slow of speech. He is slow at figures. He is slow in writing.
  • Rich in ( সম্পদশালী ) Bangladesh is rich in minerals.
  • Differ in ( ভিন্ন মত হওয়া (মতামত) ) They differ in their opinions.
  • Displeased at ( অসন্তুষ্ট ) I am displeased with him at his conduct.
  • Essential to ( অত্যাবশ্যক ) Food is essential to health.
  • Hard at ( উদ্যমী ) He is hard at work before examination.

Idioms:

  • Achilles heel ( দুর্বলতা বা ত্রুটি ) He is trying to hide but everybody knows his achilles' heel
  • Stick to ( দৃঢ়ভাবে লেগে থাকা ) He sticks to his decision.
  • At dagger drawn ( খড়গহস্ত ) The two brothers are now at daggers drawn.
