Appropriate Preposition:

  • Respect to ( সম্বন্ধে ) We are talking with respect to that matter.
  • Favour with ( অনুগত করা ) Would you favour me with an early reply?
  • Preferable to ( অধিক পছন্দযোগ্য ) Death is preferable to dishonor.
  • Part from ( বিচ্ছিন্ন হওয়া (ব্যক্তি) ) He parted form his friend.
  • Cure of ( আরগ্য হওয়া ) He will be cured of the disease very soon.
  • Excuse for ( অব্যাহতি দেওয়া ) He will not be excused for coming late.

Idioms:

  • By no means ( কোন ভাবেই না ) I shall by no means call on him.
  • under the weather ( ভাল না ; অসুস্থ ) I've been feeling under the weather
  • At one’s wit’s end ( হতবুদ্ধি ) He was at his wit’s end and did not know what to do.
  • be bad at ( দক্ষ না হওয়া )
  • walk in someone shoes ( কারো অভিজ্ঞতা বা অবস্থানে থাকা বোঝায় ) When you walk in my shoes, you might understand.
