Appropriate Preposition:

  • Plead with ( ওকালতি করা (ব্যক্তি) ) I pleaded with him for justice.
  • Argue with ( যূক্তি দেখানো (ব্যক্তি) ) I argued with him for the point.
  • Bound for ( যাত্রার জন্য প্রস্তুত ) The ship is bound for England.
  • Responsible for ( দায়ী (কোন কার্জ) ) He is responsible to the committee for his action.
  • Adjacent to ( সংলগ্ন ) Her college is adjacent to her house.
  • Disgusted with ( বিরক্ত ) I am disgusted with him at his conduct.

Idioms:

  • a bad apple ( কোনো একটা দলের সব ভালোর মধ্যে খারাপ বা মন্দটা ) In any group of average citizens there are bound to be a few bad apples.
  • In full swing ( পুরাদমে ) The school is now in full swing.
  • Head and ears ( সম্পূর্ণরূপে ) He is over head and ears in debt.
