Appropriate Preposition:

  • Anxious about ( উদ্বিগ্ন ) I am anxious about my health.

  • Argue for ( যূক্তি দেখানো (কোন কিছু) ) I argued with him for the point.
  • Make for ( অগ্রসর হওয়া ) The ship made for England.
  • Loyal to ( বিশ্বস্ত ) He is loyal to his master.
  • Aptitude for ( স্বাভাবিক দক্ষতা ) I have no aptitude for Mathematics.

Idioms:

  • Fall flat ( ফলপ্রসূ না হওয়া ) My advice feel fiat on him.
  • A bolt from the blue ( সম্পূর্ন অপ্রত্যাশিত ) The news of his father's death came to him as a bolt from the blue.
  • At bay ( কোনঠাসা ) The tiger was at bay in the bush.
  • Achilles heel ( দুর্বলতা বা ত্রুটি ) He is trying to hide but everybody knows his achilles' heel
  • A bed of roses ( সুখ-স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যপূর্ণ জীবন ) Many people think that life is a bed of roses
