Appropriate Preposition:

  • Occur to ( মনে হওয়া ) The idea never occurred to me.

Idioms:

  • to the bad ( মন্দাবস্থায় ; ঘাটতি অবস্থায় )
  • On the wane ( হ্রাসমান ) His fame is on the wane now.
  • Bad blood ( মনোমালিন্য ; শত্রতা ; দ্বেষ ) Now there is bad blood between the two brothers.
  • All but ( প্রায় ) The poor villagers are all but ruined.
  • At once finger ends ( নখদর্পণে ) All these facts are at his finger ends.
