Appropriate Preposition:

  • Kind to ( সদয় ) She is very kind to the children.
  • Useful to ( প্রয়োজনীয় (ব্যক্তি) ) This book is useful to us for examination.
  • Live by ( কোন উপায়ে বেঁচে থাকা ) He lives by honest means.
  • Inquire about ( অনুসন্ধান করা (কোন ব্যপার) ) I inquired of him about (into) the matter.
  • Trust to ( বিশ্বাস করা (ব্যক্তি) ) You may trust the work to me.
  • Sensible of ( বোধ সম্পন্ন ) She is sensible of the risk.

Idioms:

  • In time ( ঠিক সময়ে ) He reached the station in time.
  • At arm’s length ( দূরে ) Try to keep the bad boy at arm’s length.
  • Round the clock ( সমস্ত দিন ) He is working round the clock.
