Appropriate Preposition:

  • Liable to ( দায়ী ) He is liable to fine for his misconduct.
  • Indebted to ( ঋণী ; কৃতজ্ঞ ) I am indebted to him for this help.

Idioms:

  • As it were ( যেন ) The sun is, as it were , the lamp of the universe.
  • Come off with flying colours ( জয়লাভ করা ) Our School team came off with flying colours.
  • Three R's ( প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা ) The majority of our people have not yet learnt the three R's.
