  • Blind to ( দোষের প্রতি অন্ধ ) He is blind to his won faults.
  • Complain against ( অভিযোগ করা (অন্য ব্যক্তি) ) The complained to the Director against the Manager about her behavior.
  • Different from ( পৃথক ) This book is different from that.
  • Argue against ( যূক্তি দেখানো (কোন কিছু) ) I argued with him against the point.
  • Marry to ( বিবাহ দেওয়া ) He married his daughter to a rich man.
  • Compare with ( তুলনা করা (সদৃশ বস্তু) ) Rabindranath may be compared with Shakespeare.

Idioms:

  • Achilles heel ( দুর্বলতা বা ত্রুটি ) He is trying to hide but everybody knows his achilles' heel
  • Slip of the tongue ( বলায় সামান্য ভুল ) This is a slip of the tongue, don't lay much stress on it.
  • Dead against ( তীব্র বিরোধী ) I am dead against his proposal.
