  • Prone to ( ঝোঁক আছে এমন ) He is prone to idleness.
  • Limited to ( সীমাবদ্ধ ) Invitation was limited to members only.
  • Bent on ( ঝোঁক ) He is bent on playing cricket.
  • Look into ( অনুসন্ধান করা ) I am looking into the matter.
  • Oblige to ( বাধিত করা ) I am obliged to him for his co-operation.

Idioms:

  • Take to one's heels ( ছুটিয়া পালানো ) The thieves took to their heels to see the police.
  • a bad apple ( কোনো একটা দলের সব ভালোর মধ্যে খারাপ বা মন্দটা ) In any group of average citizens there are bound to be a few bad apples.
  • In a fix ( মুশকিলে পতিত ) He is in a fix and does not know what to do.
  • As if ( যেন ) He swims so beautifully as if he is the Olympic gold medalist.
