Appropriate Preposition:

  • Bent on ( ঝোঁক ) He is bent on playing cricket.
  • Polite in ( নম্র ) He is polite in his manners. (Polite to strangers).
  • Appeal to ( আবেদন করা (ব্যক্তি) ) He appealed to the Headmaster for pardon.
  • Faithful to ( বিশ্বস্ত ) The dog is faithful to his master.
  • Heir of ( উত্তরাধিকারী (ব্যক্তি) ) He is the heir of his uncle.
  • Opposite to ( বিপরীত ) Your idea is opposite to mine.

Idioms:

  • a rotten apple ( কোনো একটা দলের সব ভালোর মধ্যে খারাপ বা মন্দটা ) In any group of average citizens there are bound to be a few rotten apples.
  • Hush money ( ঘুষ ) He offered a hush money to suppress the murder.
