Appropriate Preposition:

  • Absent from ( অনুপস্থিত ) Rifat was absent from college.
  • Indebted to ( ঋণী ; কৃতজ্ঞ ) I am indebted to him for this help.
  • Fit for ( যোগ্য ) He is not fit for the job.
  • Difference between ( পার্থক্য ) There is no difference between the two brothers.
  • Tolerant of ( সহিষ্ণু ) We must be tolerant of opposition.
  • Insist on ( জিদ করা ) He insisted on my going home.

Idioms:

  • know from a bare hint ( এক আঁচরেই বোঝা )
  • a bad apple ( কোনো একটা দলের সব ভালোর মধ্যে খারাপ বা মন্দটা ) In any group of average citizens there are bound to be a few bad apples.
