Appropriate Preposition:

  • Respect to ( সম্বন্ধে ) We are talking with respect to that matter.
  • Live on ( খেয়ে বাঁচা ) The cow lives on grass.
  • Superior to ( উৎকৃষ্টতর ) This type of rice is superior to that.
  • Jealous of ( ঈর্ষা পরায়ণ ) I am not at all jealous of his fortune.
  • Rest upon ( নির্ভর করা ; বিশ্বাসস্থাপন করা ) I rest upon your promise.
  • Part with ( বিচ্ছিন্ন হওয়া (কোন জিনিস) ) She parted with the ring.

Idioms:

  • ABC ( প্রাথমিক জ্ঞান ) Everybody must know at least the ABC of religion.
  • Turn a deaf ear to ( মনোযোগ না দেওয়া ) He turned a deaf ear to my proposal.
