Appropriate Preposition:

  • Make out ( বুঝতে পারা ) I cannot make out what you say.
  • Busy with ( ব্যস্ত ) He is busy with his studies.
  • Proportionate to ( আনুপাতিক ) Punishment should be proportionate to offence.
  • Remind of ( মনে করিয়ে দেওয়া (কোনকিছু) ) I reminded him of his promise.
  • Sick of ( পীড়িত, ক্লান্ত ) He is sick for home.
  • Prompt in ( চটপটে (উত্তর) ) He is prompt in his answer.

Idioms:

  • In no time ( শীঘ্র ) He will finish the work in no time.
  • a rotten apple ( কোনো একটা দলের সব ভালোর মধ্যে খারাপ বা মন্দটা ) In any group of average citizens there are bound to be a few rotten apples.
  • Sink in ( আবদ্ধ হওয়া, ডুবে যাওয়া ) He sank in mud or the ship sank into the sea.
  • At large ( স্বাধীন ) The anti-socials are still at large.
  • A blessing in disguise ( বিপরীতে হিত ; প্রথমে খারাপ হিসেবে মনে হলেও পরবর্তীতে ভালো হয় ) Sam's motorcycle accident was a blessing in disguise because he got enough insurance money.
  • Out of sorts ( ঈষৎ অসুস্থ ) He is out of sorts now.
