Appropriate Preposition:

  • Dull of ( বোধশক্তিহীন ) He is dull of understanding.
  • Die of ( মারা যাওয়া (রোগ) ) He died of cholera.
  • Fatal to ( মারাত্মক ) he doctor's mistake proved fatal to his life.
  • Involved in ( জড়িত ) He is involved in the plot.
  • Proportionate to ( আনুপাতিক ) Punishment should be proportionate to offence.
  • Trust with ( বিশ্বাস করা (জিনিস) ) You may trust me with the work.

Idioms:

  • put the cart before the horse ( স্বাভাবিক অবস্থা উলটাইয়া দেওয়া ; অস্বাভাবিক অবস্থা পরিণত করা )
  • All at once ( হঠাৎ ) All at once a tiger came out of the forest.
  • A blessing in disguise ( বিপরীতে হিত ; প্রথমে খারাপ হিসেবে মনে হলেও পরবর্তীতে ভালো হয় ) Sam's motorcycle accident was a blessing in disguise because he got enough insurance money.

  • Slow coach ( অলস প্রকৃতির লোক ) You cannot expect much from a slow coach like him.
  • In time ( ঠিক সময়ে ) He reached the station in time.
