Idioms:

  • In vain ( বৃথা ) All his attempts were in vain.
  • Die in harness ( কর্মরত অবস্থায় মারা যাওয়া ) Dr. Sen died in harness.
  • All but ( প্রায় ) The poor villagers are all but ruined.
