Economic/Economics vs Economical

Economic /adjective/ (অর্থনৈতিক) / Economicss (অর্থনীতি):

Economic মানে অর্থনীতি সংক্রান্ত। Economics মানে অর্থনীতি; বণ্টন ও ভোগ সংক্রান্ত বিজ্ঞান।  

Economic means something relating to economics. Economics studies the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services and their management in terms of money.

Example:

  • Their economic condition is very bad now. (Economical নয়)
  • The government has got economic policy.
  • Negotiations have been complicated by court rulings over economic policy.
  • The two political leaders conduct their argument on the margins of economic policy.
  • Economic growth is slowing down.
  • The writer is president of the Center for the Study of Economics.
  • And while studying economics at Porto University he launched a software company.
  • “What we’re seeing is the operation of supply and demand economics.”
  • Actually, the Nobel Prize in economics was given this year for these issues.

 

Economical /adjective/ (মিতব্যয়ী ; হিসেবী):

Economical বলতে সেই ব্যক্তিকে বুঝানো হয় যে বুঝে শুনে কম খরচ করার চেষ্টা করে তাঁর আয় অনুযায়ী।

Economical is to be careful not to waste money or resources, avoiding extravagance; thrifty.

Example:

  • Every man must be economical to succeed in life. (Economic নয়)
  • He was economical in all areas of life.
  • They say the table does not lie but occasionally, and for all sorts of reasons, it can be economical with the truth.
  • Most of this food is exceptionally economical while being loaded with flavor.
  • The movie is economical and solid, and generally low-key when it’s not freaking you out.
