নিরাপত্তার সাথে সম্পর্কিত প্রয়োজন যেমন: আর্থিকভাবে নিরাপদ থাকার এবং চাকরী হারানো থেকে রক্ষিত থাকার প্রয়োজনকে Safety Need বা নিরাপত্তা প্রয়োজন বলা হয়। “Security need, such as the need to be financially secure and protected against job loss.”
