A verb is a part of speech that briefs an action or occurrence or indicates a state of being.
Sentence এ ব্যবহৃত যে word দ্বারা কোন কাজ করা বুঝায় তাকে Verb বলে।

- পাখী মিষ্টিসুরে গান গায় – Birds sing sweet.
- সে চিরতরে দেশ ত্যাগ করিল – He left the county for good.
- তিনি আমাকে ইংরেজি শিক্ষা দেন – He teaches me English.
- বাংলাদেশে প্রচুর ধান জন্মে – Rice grows in abundance in Bangladesh.
- তাকে মলিন দেখায় – He looks pale.
- কুকুর অন্ধকারে দেখতে পারে – The dog can see in darkness.
- সে গরীবকে উপহাস করেছিল – He laughed at the poor.
- আমরা তাকে চেয়ারম্যান কিরেছিলাম – We made him chairman.
- আমরা তাকে স্কুলের প্রধান শিক্ষক হিসেবে নিযুক্ত করলাম – We appointed him Headmaster of the school.
