Compliments ( শুভেচ্ছা , অভিবাদন, অভিনন্দন) :
Compliments সাধারণত কোন ব্যক্তি বিশেষের ক্ষেত্রে শুভেচ্ছা বা অভিবাদন জানানোর জন্য ব্যবহার হয়ে থাকে ।
Compliments express courteous greeting, good wishes, and regards for someone.
Example:
- Rifat sends you his compliments. (Compliment নয়)
- Please accept these flowers with the compliments of the chairman. (Compliment নয়)
Compliment (প্রশংসা বা সম্মানের অভিব্যক্তি) :
Compliment প্রশংসা বা সম্মানের অভিব্যক্তি প্রকাশের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Compliment is used for an expression of admiration, praise, commendation or a formal act of civility or respect.
Example:
- A sincere compliment boosts one's morale.
- The mayor paid him the compliment of escorting him.
- He complimented us by giving a party in our honor. (as Verb)
Complement (পরিপূরক, সম্পূর্ণ করা ) :
Complement মানে পরিপূরক যা অসম্পূর্ণতা পূরণ করে।
Example:
- A good drink is a complement to a good meal.
- This belt complements the dress better than that one. (as Verb)
- A subjunctive complement is often used after a linking verb.
