Quarantine এবং Isolation এর পার্থক্য 

Quarantine মানে একটি সময়কাল ধরে পৃথকভাবে থাকা এমন কোনো প্রাণী/মানুষ যে কোনো সংক্রামক রোগে আক্রান্তের সংস্পর্শে ছিল। আর Isolation হলো সংক্রামক রোগে আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তিকে অন্যদের থেকে সম্পূর্ণ বিচ্ছিন্ন করে রাখা।

Quarantine [noun] (সঙ্গরোধ)

Quarantine একটি সময়কাল যখন এমন কোনো প্রাণী বা মানুষ যা বা যিনি কোনো সংক্রামক রোগে আক্রান্তের সংস্পর্শে ছিল বা ছিলেন তাকে অন্যান্য প্রানী বা মানুষ থেকে পৃথক করে রাখা হয় দেখার জন্য যে তারা অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়ে কিনা।

Quarantine is a period when an animal or person who came in contact with any animal or person infected with a contagious disease is separated from other animals or people to observe if they fall sick.    

Examples:

• People who have a history of visiting any corona infected country must maintain 14 days’ quarantine.
• The cricketer was following 14 days’ quarantine because he visited a corona infected country.
• Quarantine helps prevent the spread of contagious diseases.
• The actor is now in quarantine because he visited a corona infected country.
• Quarantine is a period during which a ship reaches the port and is kept separate in suspicion of carrying an infectious disease.

Isolation [noun] (বিচ্ছিন্নতা)

Isolation হলো সংক্রামক রোগে আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তিকে অন্যদের থেকে সম্পূর্ণ বিচ্ছিন্ন করে রাখা ।

Isolation completely separates an infected person with an infectious or a contagious disease from others.

Examples:

• The physician advised the patient to remain in isolation.        
• The country’s 20,000 people are remaining in isolation.
• The actress is staying in isolation now.
  
• The player was in isolation, but now he has completely recovered.
• During this pandemic, everyone is familiar with the terms like isolation and quarantine.
