Play /noun/ (খেলা / ক্রীড়া):

Play হলো শিশুদের চিন্তামনস্ক খেলা যার সাধারণত নির্দিষ্ট নিয়ম থাকে না। এর আরেকটি অর্থ অভিনেতা-অভিনেত্রীদের দ্বারা মঞ্চস্থ নাটক।  

Play means the activity by children that is guided more by imagination than by fixed rules; a dramatic work intended for performance by actors on a stage.

Example:

  • Children are fond of play. (Game নয়)
  • A child at play may use a stick as an airplane
  • The TV begins showing cute little kittens at play.
  • Tyler Higbee heard the play call in the huddle and sensed opportunity.
  • We watched them at play.

 

Game /noun/ (খেলা / ক্রীড়া):

Game হলো কোনো খেলা যা দিয়ে মজা করে সময় কাটানো যায় এবং যা দর্শকদেরও আনন্দ দিয়ে থাকে। এটি নির্দিষ্ট নিয়মে খেলা হয় জয়ী নির্ধারণ করার জন্য।  

Game means an amusement or pastime; a contest with rules to determine a winner. A game is usually played for recreational purposes (though it too can be competitive).

Example:

  • Football is the most popular game in Brazil. (Play নয়)
  • Was it merely another game he was playing with her mind?
  • The one concession will be that the game will be broadcast with a five-second delay — just enough time to censor any colorful language.
  • Morgan was ejected later in the game for unsportsmanlike conduct.
  • After the game, Walton asked the team what they wanted from themselves.
