Dead vs Died

Dead (মৃত):

Dead হলো adjective.

The definition of ‘dead’ is no longer alive.

Example:

  • The dead cannot feel. (Died নয়)
  • All of my grandparents are dead.
  • That monitor is dead;
  • The dead load on the floor; a dead lift.
  • Once the ball crosses the foul line, it's dead.

 

Died (মৃত):

Died হলো die, verb টির past form.

Died is simple past tense and past participle of die.

 

Example:

  • The man died for his country. (Dead নয়)
  • Alex was going to college when his parents died in the plane crash.
  • "Her baby died," Jonathan said.
  • When Carmen's father died, she thought she was alone in the world.
  • No doubt he told them that Alexia had died.
