Damage (ক্ষতি; হানি, লোকসান) :
Damage মানে হল কারো বা কোনোকিছুর ক্ষয়ক্ষতি বা লোকসান।
Damage means physical injury or emotional harm that reduces value to someone.
Example of Damage:
- The storm did much damage to the crops. (Damages নয়)
- The city sustained heavy damage during the flood.
- The scandal caused significant damage to her career.
- The disease is known to cause permanent brain damage.
- He apologized, but the damage was already done.
Damages (ক্ষতিপূরণ):
Damages মানে ক্ষতিপূরণ। আভিধানের ভাষায়, আইনানুযায়ী কোন বীমা কোম্পানি বা কোন ব্যক্তি অন্য কোন ব্যক্তিকে আর্থিক ক্ষতিপূরণের জন্য যে টাকা দিয়ে থাকে তাই হলো damages.
Example of Damages:
- The insurance company paid the man damages. (Damage নয়)
- He may sue the company to recover damages for injuries caused by the device.
- The patient sued for compensatory damages.
