Appropriate Preposition:

  • Take after ( সদৃশ হওয়া ) The boy takes after his father.
  • Agree with ( একমত হওয়া (ব্যক্তি) ) I agree with you on this point
  • Sick of ( পীড়িত, ক্লান্ত ) He is sick for home.
  • Interfere in ( হস্তক্ষেপ করা (কোন ব্যপার) ) Do not interfere in my job.
  • Avail of ( সুযোগ গ্রহণ করা ) You must avail yourself of the business.
  • Admit of ( স্বীকৃতি পাওয়া ) Your conduct admits of no excuse.

Idioms:

  • Birds eye view ( মোটামোটি ধারণা ; এক নজর ) He took a bird’s eye view of the flood-stricken area from an aeroplane.
  • Achilles heel ( দুর্বলতা বা ত্রুটি ) He is trying to hide but everybody knows his achilles' heel
  • Fish out of water ( অস্বস্তিকর অবস্থায় ) When he came to the village, he felt like a fish out of water.
