Appropriate Preposition:

  • Look over ( পরীক্ষা করা ) He is looking over the answer papers.
  • Belong to ( অধিকারে থাকা ) This house is no more belongs to him.
  • Open at ( উন্মুক্ত করা বা খোলা ) Open at page 20 of English book.
  • Certain of ( নিশ্চিত ) He is now certain of his ground.
  • Look up ( শব্দার্থ খোঁজা ) Look up the word in the dictionary.
  • Entitled to ( অধিকারী ) He is entitled to a reward for his honesty.

Idioms:

  • bad debts ( অশোধ্য বা অনাদায়ী ঋন ; যে ঋন শোধ করা যাবে না )
  • A bed of roses thorns ( কন্টকময় জীবন ) Life is nothing but a bed of roses.
  • At the eleventh hour ( শেষ মুহূর্তে ) he doctor came to the patient at the eleventh hour.
