Appropriate Preposition:

  • Afraid of ( ভীত ) I am not afraid of ghosts.
  • Impose on ( চাপানো ) The task was imposed on him.
  • Respect of ( সম্বন্ধে ) He is junior to me in respect of service.
  • Admit of ( স্বীকৃতি পাওয়া ) Your conduct admits of no excuse.
  • Rejoice in ( আনন্দ করা ) Every one rejoiced in her success.
  • Zealous for ( আগ্রহী ) He is zealous for improvement.

Idioms:

  • clever hit ( কথার মতন কথা )
  • ABC ( প্রাথমিক জ্ঞান ) Everybody must know at least the ABC of religion.
  • hold your horses ( সবুর করা ; ধৈর্য ধরা ) Hold your horses in trouble, you will get your reward.
  • Achilles heel ( দুর্বলতা বা ত্রুটি ) He is trying to hide but everybody knows his achilles' heel
