Appropriate Preposition:

  • Heir of ( উত্তরাধিকারী (ব্যক্তি) ) He is the heir of his uncle.
  • Mourn for ( শোক করা ) Don't mourn for the dead.

  • Affectionate to ( স্নেহশীল ) He is affectionate to me.
  • Plead for ( ওকালতি করা (কোনকিছু) ) I pleaded with him for justice (against the wrong done to me).
  • Respect of ( সম্বন্ধে ) He is junior to me in respect of service.

Idioms:

  • Set free ( মুক্ত করা ) The prisoners were set free.
  • Cut to the quick ( মর্মাহত হওয়া ) I was cut to the quick by his words.
  • At sixes and sevens ( বিশৃঙ্খলা অবস্থায় ) All the furniture in the room were at sixes and sevens.
