Appropriate Preposition:

  • Diffident of ( সন্দিগ্ধ ) I am diffident of success.
  • Prone to ( ঝোঁক আছে এমন ) He is prone to idleness.
  • Agree to ( একমত হওয়া (প্রস্তাব) ) I can't agree to the proposals.
  • Indifferent to ( উদাসীন ) He is indifferent to our problem.
  • Superior to ( উৎকৃষ্টতর ) This type of rice is superior to that.
  • Preferable to ( অধিক পছন্দযোগ্য ) Death is preferable to dishonor.

Idioms:

  • In force ( বলবৎ ) This law is in force now.
  • bell the cat ( সর্তকতার জন্য বিড়ালের গলায় ঘন্টা বাধা ; কোন কাজ যেটা অর্জন করা কঠিন বা অসম্ভব ) Everybody is trying but who actually bell the cat?
  • Hard and fast ( বাঁধা ধরা ) There is no such hard and fast rule in this matter.
