Appropriate Preposition:

  • Occur to ( মনে হওয়া ) The idea never occurred to me.
  • Subject to ( শর্তাধীন ) This is subject to approval of the committee.
  • Wonder at ( অবাক হওয়া ) I wonder at his ignorance.
  • Eligible for ( যোগ্য ) He is eligible for the post.
  • Add to ( যোগ করা ) Add this to that.
  • Hard at ( উদ্যমী ) He is hard at work before examination.

Idioms:

  • At one’s own sweet will ( খুশি মতো ) He still does it at his own sweet will.
  • ABC ( প্রাথমিক জ্ঞান ) Everybody must know at least the ABC of religion.
  • Turn down ( প্রত্যাখান করা ) He turned down my proposal.
  • At a loss ( হতবু্দ্ধি ; কিংকর্তব্যবিমূঢ় ) He was at a loss and did not know what to do.
  • bunch of fives ( মুষ্টি ; পাঁচ আঙ্গুলের মুঠো ) Rock can break anything with his bunch of fives.
