Sentences which states a simple statement are known as assertive, declarative or statement sentence. They state, assert or declare something.
যে sentence দ্বারা কোন বিবৃতি প্রদান করা হয় তাকে assertive sentence বলে।

- পরিশ্রম সৌভাগ্যের প্রসুতি –Industry is the mother of good luck.
- আমার সাথে তার কথা নাই –He has no talk with me.
- চরিত্রহীন লোককে কেউ শ্রদ্ধা করে না - Nobody honors a characterless man.
- আমরা শান্তি চাই, যুদ্ধ চাই না –We want peace, not war.
- তিনি ট্রেন ধরতে পারলেন না –He could not catch the train.
- মা নিজের সুখ চান না –Mother does not seek her own happiness.
- পৃথিবীটা ফুল শয্যা নয় – The world is not a bed of roses.
- বালকটি রোদে দৌড়ায় না – The boy does not run in the sun.
- মেয়েটি রাতে খায় না –The girl does not eat at night.
- বাঘ গৃহপালিত জন্তু নয় –The tiger is not a domestic element.
- বাদুর দিনে বের হয় না –The bat does not come out at day time.
- ছাত্রদের সময় নষ্ট করা উচিৎ নয় –The students should not waste time.
