Scarcely / adverb /(কদাচিৎ):
Scarcely সাধারণত কিছুই নেই অথবা একদম অল্প কিছু বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Scarcely means ‘almost nothing’ or ‘almost not’.
Example:
- Mushfiq had scarcely finished when she came. (Rarely নয়)
- Jon scarcely has money.
- This is scarcely a time to laugh.
- I could scarcely tell them they were wrong.
Rarely /adverb/ (কদাচিৎ):
Rarely খুব কম সময়ে ঘটে এমনকিছু বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Rarely means ‘almost never’.
Example:
- Robin rarely comes to see me. (Scarcely নয়)
- She rarely talks about her past.
- Rarely do we see this kind of weather in our area.
- I rarely watch horror movie.
