Borrow /verb/ (ধার করা):
ধার করা বোঝাতে borrow ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Borrow means to take something from someone with the intention of returning it after a period of time.
Example:
- I will borrow a book from our teacher. (Lend নয়)
- The twins often borrow each other's clothes.
- I'm borrowing a friend's car for the weekend.
- Will you see if we can borrow a cup of sugar from the neighbors?
- She borrowed $20 from me.
Lend /verb/ (ধার দেয়া):
ধার দেয়া বোঝাতে Lend ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Lend means to give something to someone to be used for a period of time and then returned in the future.
Example:
- My friend has lend a book to me. (Borrow নয়)
- The bank wouldn't lend us the money.
- Would you lend me your pen?
- Many banks won't lend to people with bad credit.
