Appropriate Preposition:

  • Adjacent to ( সংলগ্ন ) Her college is adjacent to her house.
  • Favourable to ( অনুকূল (ব্যক্তি) ) This situation is favourable to me for doing this.
  • Consist of ( গঠিত হওয়া ) This class consists of fifty boys and thirty girls.
  • Proud of ( গর্বিত ) He is proud of his position.
  • Zest for ( অনুরাগ ) She has no zest for music.
  • Count for ( গণ্য হওয়া ) His advice counts for nothing.

Idioms:

  • Slip of the tongue ( বলায় সামান্য ভুল ) This is a slip of the tongue, don't lay much stress on it.
  • Rank and file ( সাধারণ লোক ) We should pay attention to the rank and file of the country.
  • In cold blood ( ঠান্ডা মাথায় ) They committed this murder in cold blood.
