Appropriate Preposition:

  • Agree with ( একমত হওয়া (ব্যক্তি) ) I agree with you on this point
  • Listen to ( শোনা ) Listen to the news on the radio.
  • Avail of ( সুযোগ গ্রহণ করা ) You must avail yourself of the business.
  • Come of ( জন্মগ্রহণ করা ) He comes of a noble family.
  • Confident to ( আবদ্ধ (শয্যা) ) He is confined to bed.
  • Difference between ( পার্থক্য ) There is no difference between the two brothers.

Idioms:

  • As it were ( যেন ) The sun is, as it were , the lamp of the universe.
  • Make both ends meet ( আয়ব্যয় মেলানো ) I cannot make both ends meet with my small income.
  • Take one to task ( তিরস্কার করা ) He was taken to task for negligence of duty.
