Appropriate Preposition:

  • Make out ( বুঝতে পারা ) I cannot make out what you say.
  • in favour of ( পক্ষে ) He spoke in favour of his friend.
  • Affectionate to ( স্নেহশীল ) He is affectionate to me.
  • Opportunity for ( সুযোগ ) I have no opportunity for (of) doing the work.
  • Live for ( বেঁচে থাকা ) He lives for fame.
  • Dislike for ( অপছন্দ ) He has dislike for dogs.

Idioms:

  • reinvent the wheel ( এমন কোনকিছু তৈরিতে সময় নষ্ট করা যা বর্তমানে বিদ্যমান ও ঠিকঠাক কাজ করে ) There's no point in us reinventing the wheel
  • Catch red handed ( হাতে নাতে ধরা ) The thief was caught red handed.
