Appropriate Preposition:

  • Different from ( পৃথক ) This book is different from that.
  • Compete with ( প্রতিযোগিতা করা (কোন একজন) ) I competed with him for the first prize.
  • in favour of ( পক্ষে ) He spoke in favour of his friend.
  • Wait for ( অপেক্ষা করা ) I waited for him for two hours.
  • Endowed with ( ভূষিত ) He is endowed with talents.
  • Look over ( পরীক্ষা করা ) He is looking over the answer papers.

Idioms:

  • Take one to task ( তিরস্কার করা ) He was taken to task for negligence of duty.
