Appropriate Preposition:

  • Displeased at ( অসন্তুষ্ট ) I am displeased with him at his conduct.
  • Quick at ( চটপটে ) He is quick at figures.
  • Smell of ( গন্ধ দেয় ) This glass smells of wine.
  • Occupied with ( নিয়োজিত (কাজ) ) He is occupied with his studies.
  • Plead for ( ওকালতি করা (কোনকিছু) ) I pleaded with him for justice (against the wrong done to me).
  • Preferable to ( অধিক পছন্দযোগ্য ) Death is preferable to dishonor.

Idioms:

  • Book worm ( গ্রন্থকীট ) Don't be a book worm.
  • ABC ( প্রাথমিক জ্ঞান ) Everybody must know at least the ABC of religion.
  • bell the cat ( সর্তকতার জন্য বিড়ালের গলায় ঘন্টা বাধা ; কোন কাজ যেটা অর্জন করা কঠিন বা অসম্ভব ) Everybody is trying but who actually bell the cat?
