  • Hard of ( কম শোনা ) He is hard of hearing.
  • Argue against ( যূক্তি দেখানো (কোন কিছু) ) I argued with him against the point.
  • Satisfaction in ( সন্তোষ ) I find satisfaction in gardening. Great was his satisfaction with her result.

Idioms:

  • walk in someone shoes ( কারো অভিজ্ঞতা বা অবস্থানে থাকা বোঝায় ) When you walk in my shoes, you might understand.
  • Chip of the old block ( বাপকা বেটা ) He is a chip of the old black.
  • Apple of discord ( বিবাদেয় বিষয় ) The paternal property has become an apple of discord between the two brothers.
  • All but ( প্রায় ) The poor villagers are all but ruined.
  • Above board ( সংশয়হীন ভাবে নির্দোষ ) His activities are open and above board.
